Lipstick Pit Bull

Comic #2

While watching Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech at the RNC, essentially “Lie Fest ‘08″, I thought her Hockey Mom quote was actually quite creative. I’d still prefer sumo wrestling a porcupine over voting for the McCain/Palin ticket, but nonetheless a funny quote; perhaps one of only a few truthful quotes that night…

Comic Transcript:

“…The difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick.”

Well, when you live that far north and were raised by wolves, your mind is bound to get warped…

Change Balloon

Comic #4

This comic was inspired by the recent Wall Street crisis. I couldn’t help but imagine the major issues of this country as being a large balloon, being fed hot air by the GOP over these past 7 and a half years. It is just a matter of time before it bursts… Can’t think of a more important instance in our history where the common person’s vote will count so much, I’m just praying America sees through the hot air and votes for change this November.

Perry: The Political Pundit Puffin – VP Debate

Comic # 5

Introducing Perry: The Political Pundit Puffin. Originally from Kennebunkport Maine; Perry spent his hatchling years roosting on the rocks near the Bush vacation estate… Through his persistent observations of the compound and listening to NPR, a past time he shared with his grandfather, the political “bug” was caught early on. He tends to shoot from the hip when it comes to his analysis; a trait that has both won him praise and created enemies—particularly with individuals that are higher up on the food chain. Perry’s a leftist and proud of it.

Today, Perry takes on the upcoming vice-presidential debate and determines what exactly Biden needs to do to completely flub it. Comic transcript below:

The only way Biden can lose this debate against Palin, is if he takes a page out of the McCain Doctrine and throws down the c-word or perhaps, a few trollops…

AIG Bonus Clean Up

Comic #6

With all of the recent AIG bonus outrage spewing though the nation’s media outlets, this political comic idea was born naturally. No wracking the brain on this one.

I’m still dumbfounded that our government worked to deregulate the markets so severely, that it promoted this kind of outlandish problem. The whole bonus issue is purely the cherry on top of this 60+ billion scoop sundae of a CF. I guess the only positive element of this news story is that American’s voices are being heard and more importantly considered; unlike those past 8 years.

Personal commentary aside, this Inked Indiscretion edition has been an absolute pleasure to draw. The entire drawing process, from sketching to outlining, to inking, just flowed out of me.

P.S. – Sorry updates have been slow. Working hard and working hard to find the time to churn out these editions. A dead scanner has also contributed to the delay. Got a shiny new CanonScan LiDE 200, so that problem is solved.
