Edition #7
The other Saturday, I was out walking the dog on a new trail I found in the neighboorhood. Weather was great, the dog was happily sniffing away and there weren’t any young children in sight for us to tackle and slobber all over. I was quint essentially stoked to have finally found convenient weekend hiking grounds. Unfortunately we weren’t really alone. Found one tick on the dog while out on the trail and two others that rode the “hound wagon” back to the apartment. After vacuuming the whole place from top to bottom (including the dog), calling hazmat and then showering just to be safe, my mind halted the itchy feelings all over and I was able to come up with this comic.
The basic inked version looked decent, but I felt like it needed a little more than just black and white, so I played around with some gray watercolor washes. I’m pretty happy with the result; I think I am going to give it a go again in some upcoming editions. Right now I don’t think Inked Indiscretion’s comics need to all look the same in technique; perhaps if I start a serial comic… right now the ideas a being born singularly so I’ll take that as an opportunity to experiment and hone the skills that have been put on the back burner for a while.
I’m also brainstorming some site design treatments. I moved the initial II installation over to Comic Press, which is working out a lot better from an implementation and efficiency standpoint. Foundation is done, siding still has to be put on. Stay tuned.
As always, let me know what you think.
